  22. S-CHIP offers:

  24. - full screen resolution in new extended screen mode
  25. - downward compability (you can run your old CHIP games)
  26. - faster execution in extended mode
  27. - a larger 16x16 sprite available
  28. - new, larger fonts for scores
  29. - you can pass information to and from a S-CHIP program
  30. - programmable exit from the S-CHIP interpreter possible
  31. - no need to turn off the clock
  32. - it will always start

  34. What can this mean to the next generation of CHIP games?

  36. - Higher resolution and faster action.
  37.  
  38. - One can make a strategy game in RPL with combat parts programmed
  39. in S-CHIP. When one of the players has won the combat, the S-CHIP
  40. program can exit and pass the results on to the main RPL program.

  42. - High score screens etc can be done in RPL and the action parts
  43. in S-CHIP.

  84. ASC-> and store the result as SCHIP.
